A voted list tells you which books readers like. A mention count tells you what BookTok keeps talking about. Neither tells you what will sell.
The three fantasy titles with tropes on file all carry heroine-under-pressure tags, and two add a powerful or dangerous love interest. Fourth Wing carries academy romance, alpha MMC and broken FMC. A Court of Thorns and Roses carries beast-tamer, beauty-and-the-beast and captive/captor. Throne of Glass carries assassin FMC, badass heroine and captivity.
That is three books, not the whole table, and only some titles have tropes on file, so it is a reason to look closer at those tropes, not proof that a book built from them will sell.
A title named in many videos shows conversation, not purchases, so it does not tell you whether a new book will sell. What it does show is which tropes readers are drawn to, and the next question is whether the shelf already answers them.
